STYLST — Terms of Service

STYLST Terms of Service

Replaces: the waitlist terms of August 28, 2026

These are the terms between you and STYLST LLC, 3214 N. University Ave #211, Provo, UT 84604, United States ("STYLST", "we"), for the STYLST app, the service behind it, and the waitlist on our website. They are written to be read. The app shows them to you before you first use it and again whenever they change, and using STYLST means you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use STYLST; you can delete your account at any time under Profile → Privacy → Delete my account and data.

Our Privacy Policy says what we collect and what we do with it. It is part of these terms.

1. You must be an adult

You must be 18 or older. The app asks before you sign in, and we rely on your answer. If you are under 18, do not use STYLST.

2. Your account

You need an account, created with Sign in with Apple or an email address and password. Keep your sign-in to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility until you tell us it has been compromised, at which point we will help. One person, one account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it or telling you would help someone abuse the service.

You can delete your account at any time. Deleting closes it at once; for 14 days you can sign in again and have it back whole; after that it is erased within 30 days, as the Privacy Policy describes.

3. What STYLST is, and is not

STYLST is a personal stylist. Stella, the stylist inside it, builds a closet from your photographs, proposes outfits, plans your week, and talks with you about what to wear. Her replies and the images she shows you are generated by machine-learning models, some of them run by hosted providers named by category in the Privacy Policy. She can be wrong. A try-on image is an illustration of how an outfit might look, not a photograph of you wearing it; a garment STYLST identified may be mis-tagged; advice about fit, weather or an occasion is a suggestion. Use your own judgement, and tell Stella when she is wrong, because that is how she learns.

STYLST is not medical, health, or professional advice of any kind. Sizes and measurements you give are used to fit clothes, nothing else.

STYLST is offered in the United States. It may work elsewhere; we make no promise that it does, or that it complies with the law anywhere else.

4. Your content

Your photographs, your closet, your sizes, what you say to Stella, and everything else you give STYLST are yours. You keep every right in them. So that STYLST can work, you give us a licence to store, copy, process, modify and display your content, and to make new images and data from it, for the purposes the Privacy Policy describes and for as long as it says. The licence to use your images to improve our models is the one you can turn off under Profile → Privacy, and turning it off removes your images from any training set they are in.

Images STYLST makes from your content — garment cut-outs, catalogue-style pictures, outfit renders and pictures of you in outfits — are yours to keep and use for yourself. We keep the licence above in them, and we may keep and use them under the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for what you give us. You promise that:

If you think content in STYLST infringes your copyright or other rights, write to privacy@stylst.co with enough detail for us to find it and act.

5. What you may not do

Do not use STYLST to:

6. Limits, trials and changes to the service

Some of what STYLST does costs real money each time Stella does it. We may limit how much any account can use, offer some features on a trial basis, and decide whether a trial is available to an account on the basis of the security data the Privacy Policy describes. If a trial is unavailable to you we will say so, though we may not say why.

We change STYLST constantly, and we may add, alter or remove features, or stop the service altogether. If we stop it, we will give you notice and time to export your data, as the Privacy Policy provides.

7. Paying for STYLST

STYLST has no paid plan today. If we add one, it will be sold through Apple's in-app purchase, the price will be shown before you pay, Apple will process the payment and the App Store's terms will govern the purchase, refunds and cancellation. Nothing in STYLST today requires payment, and joining the waitlist never did.

8. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist on our website is free. We do not ask for payment details and you are not signing up to be charged for anything. We will email you about the STYLST launch and occasionally about our progress while we build. If you ticked the box when you joined, we will also send you a single text message when we go live; reply STOP to any text to opt out. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing us. When STYLST launches, waitlist members get access before the general public, and the first 1,000 to join are the founding cohort. Joining does not oblige you to buy anything. Launch timing is an estimate and may move; if we decide not to launch STYLST, we will tell you by email and delete your details.

9. Our content

STYLST — the app, the service, Stella, the models, the designs, the name and the wordmark — belongs to STYLST LLC and its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store's usage rules, for as long as these terms are in force. Nothing here gives you any other right in STYLST. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

10. No warranty

STYLST is provided as it is and as it is available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including that STYLST will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure or fit for any purpose, and none about Stella's advice or the images she makes. Some places do not allow these exclusions, and where that is so, they apply only as far as the law allows.

11. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, STYLST LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from STYLST or these terms, and our total liability for anything arising from STYLST will not exceed the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and one hundred US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against STYLST LLC because of content you gave us or something you did in breach of these terms, you will cover the costs and damages that result, provided we tell you promptly and let you take part in the defence.

13. Ending things

You can stop using STYLST and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop the service, with notice where we can give it. Sections 4 (the licence you gave, for as long as the Privacy Policy keeps the content), 9, 10, 11, 12, 14 and 15 continue after your account ends.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that we cannot settle by talking will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah, and you and we each agree to those courts. If you are a consumer and the law of the place you live gives you protections that cannot be waived, those protections apply.

15. Apple

Because STYLST is distributed through Apple's App Store, Apple requires the following, and it applies:

16. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, the app shows you the new version the next time you open it, and the new version is published at an address of its own. We keep every published version, and the one you were shown stays readable at its address. A change that materially reduces your rights takes effect only after you have been shown it.

17. The rest

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about STYLST. If a part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may assign these terms to a successor to the business; you may not assign them. Not enforcing a term once is not a waiver of it. Notices to you go to the email address on your account; notices to us go to privacy@stylst.co.
